About Hunter...

As a puppy and young adult Hunter was outstanding, a true ambassador of the breed. But as he matured, Hunter became the most wonderful companion, protector, and friend. Throughout his life, he never lost any of his clownish sense of humor or his love of a good romp with his girls or his “busy ball”, but he grew up while my back was turned!  Hunter exceeded my high expectations in every way. He was a sweet, kind boy, very intuitive and comforting if he sensed upset or emotional distress, yet he was a very diligent protector of his territory.  His deep bass “woof” would make anyone think twice about entering Hunter’s space without permission.  Physically, he was a robust, structurally sound boy more than capable of running the property at full speed without a pause or dragging large logs to “help” clean up the yard. Hunter passed these wonderful traits to his offspring. His “kids” are sweet, kind, active dogs with outstanding temperaments and beautiful structure. For Hunter, each day was an adventure that he met with a wagging tail and a happy grin. His glass was always full.

About Spring...

Spring was our “giving girl”. She loved to bring her most treasured toys and share them with the human members of the household. She was quite persistent with the sharing game and expected the recipient to do their part. Otherwise, the sharing game couldn’t continue and that was very disappointing for Spring. For her, the joy was in the giving and receiving. When she was satisfied with the number and quality of toys at your feet or in your lap, she was a happy camper. When Spring was a happy camper her tail wagged so hard it was a wonder she didn’t beaten herself to death with it. She was definitely people-oriented, entirely devoted to “her people “, their happiness and their protection. Spring was always right next to Hunter defending the homestead from any real or perceived intrusion but was sweet and playful with friends. Spring had a well balanced, loving temperament, correct structure and a gorgeous glossy black coat. We were so very happy with our lovely girl.

About Diva...

Diva was our slightly less boisterous girl, our “thinker”. Although she was energetic and athletic, she was less likely to be in the midst of mayhem. Diva preferred to sit back and watch the others get into trouble. Diva’s more calm temperament was an asset when traveling. She went to Canada with us more than once and each time she had a happy reunion with the children she met there. Diva was a very sweet girl, affectionate, and very intelligent. She adapted to new situations and learned new exercises quickly. Structurally, Diva was a nice size girl with a gorgeous, rich, deep chocolate coat. As she matured, she became an outstanding adult, a wonderful combination of brains and beauty.

About Missy...

Missy was our happy girl! She had an adventurous, outgoing personality, her sire and dam’s sense of humor and their lovely structure. Like her sire, Hunter, Missy met each new day with tail wagging and a happy grin on her face. Before she was two years old, Missy was an accomplished thief as well as the class clown. She liked nothing better than stealing something and waiting for you to notice. She didn’t destroy the object, just waited patiently for you to notice she had it, then she gave it back and the game was on again! Missy had a sweet, loving temperament, and adored attention and praise. She was a people dog, very willing to please and intelligent. Structurally, Missy was a moderate girl, well balanced and proportioned. She had a lovely soft expression and beautiful eyes. She was a lovely young girl and we couldn’t have been happier with her temperament, outlook on life and structure.
